    Physical Exercise

    Firstly, why exercise?

Exercise helps maintain muscle strength and joint flexibility making it easier to walk around your home and perform daily tasks. Improving your strength and balance can minimise the risk of falls. Furthermore, improving your overall cardiovascular fitness can lower blood pressure, improve circulation and reduce the risk of heart disease and strokes.

At Big Herts Care we have qualified personal trainers that can design a programme tailored to your needs. We take you step by step, guiding and supporting your every move.

As a care provider, we are dedicated to ensuring our clients are engaged and happy. As we age it is critical we prevent feelings of isolation, anxiety and depression.

We see our clients as individuals with aspirations, experiences and opinions.

Mental wellbeing is about life satisfaction, optimism, self-esteem, feeling in control, having a purpose and a sense of belonging and support.

    Dementia Support

Carers play a crucial role in supporting our clients with dementia, and there's several ways they can provide effective care:

Understanding dementia, creating a safe environment, effective communication, promoting independence, routine and structure, engaging activities and emotional support.

Our carers have a good understanding of dementia, including its symptoms and progression. This knowledge helps them anticipate needs and respond appropriately.
